St. Joseph the Worker Sisters Receive Diocesan High Award:
Mother Christina and Sr. Celeste Marie of the Sisters of St. Joseph the Worker received
the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice this past weekend. It is the highest medal that can be awarded to the laity by the Pope. The Latin meaning is “For Church and Pope.” (It is also known as the “Cross of Honor.”) Congratulations Mother and Sister!

SJA Annual Golf Outing Fundraiser:
This year’s fundraiser was a great success, in spite of the COVID restrictions we had to follow. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and the weather was fantastic for the event. $8,251.87 was raised with the help of our generous sponsors and golf participants.
This money will be used as follows: a portion to a new ice machine; to fund the AR Library Renaissance program. The remaining monies will be put into the “sheltered” building fund for emergencies.
Scrapbooking Event Results:
We also want to give a HUGE shout out “thank you” to Susan Schappacher for her Scrapbooking donation of $2, 590.00. This money is being applied to the new ice machine.
Upcoming Candy Sale – There will only be 125 boxes ordered this year. Each family in the MEC center, Homeschooling, and K-8 will be asked to sell one box only. (You can sell more if you want to help the school further). Profits will go toward the following: to fund the rubber mulch for the playground and t0 the Follett library updates. The remaining monies will be used for other school activities throughout the year.
4th Annual SJA Craft Show – Oct. 10th 9-3:
Please be sure to spread the word about the Craft Show. We have many talented artisans this year. Masks MUST BE worn if attending the show. Admission is $2.00.
A limit of 50 people inside at a time will be enforced due to COVID restrictions.
Parent Teacher Conferences Coming up in Oct.:
Forms will be coming home soon for you to schedule a time for your conference with your child(ren’s) teachers. We will not have school that day.
Pizza Party Friday – Oct. 23rd: (Changed to No school day)
If you paid for pizza lunch for Fri., Oct. 23rd, we will forward your Pizza money to the TBA November schedule.
Fun for the Students – Beginning Friday, October 2nd until Friday, October 9th students may bring their tricycle, bicycle, or scooter with a helmet to school for recess times. The drop off area will be marked by grade on the side of the school between the yellow parking spaces. All will be stored in the barn during the overnights.
